Woke up very early due to jet lag. Packed up and grabbed breakfast at Starbucks just a short block from the hotel. Drove along Golden Gate Park and Crissy Field before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. Spent the morning at Muir Woods Monument, where they filmed scenes in Return of the Jedi ( Forest Moon of Endor). Beautiful redwoods and scenery. Left around lunchtime as the crowds ...

He was part of what I think was a cycle demonstration against female genital mutilation - it was his neon tutu that caught our eyes, but the sight of his junk freely bouncing about below it is what's etched in our memories. That was quite enough of nobs for one evening so we hit some bars on neighbouring Russian Hill for Friday night beers. Returning back to the apartment late we were shocked to find a hobo huddled ...

Here's what we did, in bullet-point form as it is a long list! 1) Breakfast at Lori's Diner - humongous plates of food, and still we managed to polish most of it off (disgraceful!) 2) Wandered to Union Square to buy tickets for the hop-on hop-off bus. Seduced into buying a cheap one whereby you have to change buses at Fisherman's Wharf. 3) Hopped off bus at Pier 33 and walked along to find interconnecting ...
