... Georgios Castle but unfortunately it's closed! We then head back to Antisamos where we spend a couple of hours on the beach and in the sea, high, once agai is lovely and warm and crystal clear.
We arrive at the hotel and are given keys for the room next door to the one we had last week! We are still impressed with the hotel and the gorgeous view!
Tonight we will eat at Sunset ...
... from the rain!
On on return to the hotel we sat on the balcony for a little while and then, once again sheltered from a shower! We've just returned from Sunset where we enjoyed a sunset glass of wine....although didn't see the sun set due to the rain!
... as we sped towards the cliffs and caves. The captain slowed the boat and headed towards one. Skillfully
maneuvering the craft through the entrance, along a short corridor to a subterranean cliff face where he stopped. A strange light emanating from the water lighting up the entire cavern. “You want to swim?” he said in broken English. Then we continued a little further north and found a lovely little cove where we had our picnic and then spent a couple of hours on the beach and in the sea, which was wonderful!
In in the evening we again returned to the Sunset taverna for a very good dinner and wine!
VERY heavy rain, LOUD thunder and BRIGHT lightening for a long time over night! kept us awake,,,,!! ...
... of sea, local village/town, islands and mountains.
We unpack and head for the local taverna which is about 100yards down hill! Local beer is very good!
Later we we return there for dinner which is also good. We meet our fello guests, Peter and Pat, who are in the room next door, and also using the taverna. They are English and from Kent.
