Today the plan was to drive down to Ierapetra and get the boat over to Chrisi Island, the southern most part of Europe before Africa. We arrived in town, bought our tickets for 10 Euro each and found a place to have brekky before departure. We parked on a piece if grass close to the beach and walked the length of the bay as far as the harbour, then returned stopping to nosey at a lovely seafront house nearing completion, before returning to where we had parked. We moved more into the centre of the bay as it was more sheltered, it was already going dark, but it has stopped ...

... and not very welcoming. We found a small cove to park for the night, there is definitely a storm brewing, the wind us getting stronger and there are occasional showers. The cove is very nice, there is a long beach in a tight curve with steep mountain sides at each end, the centre area is all olive trees leading up a gentle incline to the village which us about 5 kilometres away. There is one taverna which is closed up for the winter which has a small lake behind it and at ...
