... and there was 3 guys around the kava bowl and the chief was sitting opposite them. We had elected Adam, a guy from our group, as our chief and he went and sat next to their chief. The rest of us just sat round the edge watching. They did some kind of what looked like Fijian vu du over the bowl and then started making the kava drink. Luggage collected, customs & immigration formalities done, car hire sorted. En route to the resort we took advice from seasoned travellers to pick up milk, bread & butter from Nadi as resort prices are a joke. On arrival we were surprised not to go through the normal Wyndham owner welcome procedures but we're too tired to really care. A few hours sleep sorted that out and we started our first explore. ... with Bones the dog and their new arrival Stitch who is the cutest little button ever. I spent a lot of time over the next few days playing and cuddling with the doggies. I do love them. I would have put Stitchy in my bag if I thought she would keep still enough for me to get away with it. Bones is huge though – no chance he’d fit in my pack!
