... beautiful; so many colors and lines and there was even a waterfall. There were hiking trails to some of the falls but I'm not in any shape to do a strenuous hike so we skipped it. I would recommend it, it was definitely worth the drive. The road up and down was very windy so be prepared to go slow. On the way back, we stopped by the Shrimp Station for a late lunch and it was delicious. The flavour was delicious, it wasn't as good as it is on the North Shore on Oahu ...

Nope!
The trail begins at Kee Beach as it winds its way up and up and then travels along the coastline with views in both directions of these huge mountains that cascade ...

... how our day starts: waking up to the sound of the waves of the Pacific Ocean rolling into Hanalei Bay, sitting at the large open window in our room watching the surfers and paddle boarders ride those waves. Then eventually making our way down to the breakfast terrace overlooking the same scenery, enjoying Hawaiian bread pudding, omelets, coffee, green tea, fresh fruit, chocolate croissants and much more, while reading the morning's ...

... even feeling it and he doesn't get travel sick much, nothing like me (remind me why I'm spending 7months on boats, buses and planes?) Claire had been sick and I wasn't far off! For the next beasting across the ocean, I had to keep my head down and eyes shut otherwise I was ready to vomit!

We got to the next stop and everyone got in apart from me and mum. We felt too rough to move, or speak so there was no way we could get our snorkel and flippers on and attempt to ...
