... to elevate, rest, and ice my foot. I thought for sure that I broke my foot. I would say that I'm a pretty tough cookie. I have rolled it in the past and have never had a problem like this before. After resting, icing, and elevating for four straight days and minimal getting out and about. My foot appears to be getting better with time, but I'm still keeping it at a basic uneventful stroll around town. Unfortunately, with the inability to get out and continue to explore ...

... spouting and diving and breaching! Amazing. However, they don’t like to pose for pictures. So it was hard to have the camera ready. And when the water sprayed - it was tough to keep the lens dry and spot-free.

We also did an hour or so of snorkelling on a calmer side of the island. You don’t really go to Kauai to have a great snorkelling experience….it’s much better on Maui. Not to say we didn’t see dolphins, sea turtles, and tons of ...

... Meg and I sprinted to Budget, and were warmly welcomed with "we don't leave until everyone lands." Lucky for us, West Jet was running two hours behind us! We may have been seven hours late to our condo, but sharing this experience with my family was worth every delay.

On travel days don't expect anyone to look out for your best interests. Sometime you have to be proactive, otherwise you may be left at the gate with a bad ticket. Good luck and safe travels!

... to waste, so I took full advantage of the free beer. I was sipping on some cold ones while Captain Kelly was gunning it through the waves on the way back to Port Allen. I was getting lashed by water, salt, and spray, but it was a beautiful day and I had a beer in my hand, so I didn't care. It was a great way to finish the day!

On my return, I went surfing with Ron at Donkeys. However, I had a lot of beers so my surfing was not up to par on this ...

... will most definitely be back! Two days left and we've hired a convertible Mustang to go out in style... :)
So - we're home just in time for Australia Day and next week is a new start for all - particularly Anna who will be starting high school :-o - wow, never a dull moment...
