    ... She's a nervous flyer and yet her face was beaming the whole time. She loved the fresh air of the cabin thanks to the 'doors off' option and felt much more stable in the chopper than she usually feels in a plane.

    Well it was her birthday treat too, so it was great to see her loving every minute.

    ... was where we left the kayaks for our hour or so hike to the Wailua Secret Falls, also our stop for a picnic lunch and swim below the falls. Another beautiful area, with lush growth and giant trees towering about. I definitely felt like I was walking through a number of scenes in the Jurassic Park, if not King Kong, movies, especially when we reached a clearing.     ... We also learned these guys did the Nepali Coast hike (11.2 miles along the cliffs). Very adventuresome kids. Our guides took us to the first launching tower, where the young folks graciously allowed us to go up the tower first. We didn't catch on that that meant we were the first to jump. Lesson learned!!

    ... for the Hanalei River. SUPs are like surf boards, yet thicker and longer. You stand on it and paddle with an oar. We all got the hang of it pretty quickly. No one fell in the water. The problem was the current. We started off at where the river meets the sea, and we had to fight a very serious current. We also had a crazy head wind.
