2 Noosa Drive Noosa, Queensland, Australia
We have never seen rain like we had in Noosa. We got picked up taken to our hostel which was really nice. The room was basically a posh shed, but with big glass sliding doors. As soon as we got there it absolutely chucked it down, and did not stop until the middle of the night. By 3pm it was dark, it was that bad. We had no food, so were forced to go into town to buy some supplies. We were also ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia jz2009... know that kangaroos have much softer fur than koalas, which was a fact my life has been positively empty without. Empty!! After the koalas, I went up to Mount Coot-tha to have a gander at the view, which was impressive, although slightly odd, to see such a built up area surrounding a mountain like that. Usually the views from high up feature a lot of trees, water, or both, but this was all roads and skyscrapers. Still, I had dinner at the top of the ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia suzloua... can see why they have those problems. Also, up in northern Queensland, there was terrible flooding that had taken lives and cut off towns. Our direction of travel was north, though as the roads were cut off, it was clear we needed to bide our time in southern queensland. Australia is a beautiful country with a great climate - but along with this comes the fire/floods risk. I will stop complaining about the weather in the UK in future...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia david-daisy... we decided that though we hated to ask (having been so spoiled already), Sharon and Graeme would probably think us quite silly if we didn't go back and stay with them since we were only 15 minutes away from their house. And so we put Cecilia on the phone to Sharon, since she is hands down the most charming of us all ;) Who could resist la principessa?? This time we INSISTED that we would supply dinner, but no, Sharon had already made 2 different curry dishes for ...
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia jammer32... to Tin Can Bay in the near future!!! The next morning we got up at 6am and were down at the boat ramp at 6:15am to try to spot some dolphins. There was a dolphin there when we got there and only four other people so we had a good look at the dolphin and took a few pictures. We were hoping we might be able to feed the dolphin but were told feeding time wouldn't be til 8am. We hung around for an hour and by 7:15am there must have been over 50 people there ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia staffyandlyddyAt 6.30am I took the Greyhound bus from Agnes Water to Noosa, a 9 hours drive. I got to Noosa at 3.30pm and spent a quite day at the resort. For dinner I had half of a pizza and was talking to Gary, a guy from Melbourne who drove the bus from the resort to the town. We had 2 beers and around 9.30pm I went back to my room. The next day I went to the Sunshine Beach, had to take the resort bus to town and than another bus to the beach but it was worth it, a beautiful long beach and not ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia cieloFrom Noosa we took the courtesy bus to Australia zoo, which is the zoo that Steve Irwin, god rest his soul, set up. It was such an amazing place, the best zoo that we have ever been too. We hand fed kangaroo's, wallabies and elephants, saw the Croc show where they ...

No power steering or brakes, just an old car that is completely reliable still. He told me to drive it up some huuuuuuuggggggge hills and I was sreaming according to the girls! They said they couldn't hear the landy only me shouting hehehe!! Chris said I did an amazing job though snd should be proud at how ...
Gympie, Australia smiffy... we had the chance to watch sugar gliders, small native animals I haven’t seen much of, fling themselves from branch to branch with almost suicidal impulsiveness.
With relatives living nearby to Forest Glen, I’ve travelled along the stretch of the Bruce Highway between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane many times, and today was probably one of the more entertaining with DJ Mick spinning the tunes of “Love Song Dedications”. Back in the ...
