... for one of the unused life jackets just incase. We finally reached the other island with the boat barely intact. We snorkeled and lounged on the one of the highest rated beaches in the world, Maya Bay. On the way back, we pulled up to a beach where Macaques (monkeys) jumped on our boat. There were at least ten macaques running around our small, packed longtail. It was amazing, yet slightly scary to see these primates in action. No food ...

I booked an overnight bus from Bangkok to Koh Lanta through NapPark, where I was picked up from my hostel at 4pm, taken by mini van to the bus station, guided to my coach, given drinks, snacks, a blankey and a pillow, free Thai meal halfway at a bizarre canteen type place, dropped off at Krabi bus station, taken by pick up truck to the Andaman Sea office (the company responsible for the aquatic leg of my trip), then picked up by another mini ...

... ice creams, and Digestive biscuits (!) from the local shop. They were like Ambrosia, sent from the British holiday gods to save two errant travellers. I doubt we've ever shared such a romantic Digestive biscuit. We stepped up the romance even further with bowls of cereal under the stars - it's strange what you start to crave when you can't usually find it.

When we woke up early in the morning to start our second day of beachy bliss, I was encouraged by some recent jibes ...

... beachside covered deck. The group of us patiently waiting headed towards the deck to claim our mat making an instantly full class. The class was a little shy of 1.5 hours and the perfect balance of doable yet challenging. It was especially motivating hanging out in downward dog or warrior 1 when you have an ocean view as the backdrop. Definitely easier to get your zen on in such an environment.

After class I met up with Brooke briefly at our little cottage then she was off ...
