... this is totally normal because usually parents forget or didn't know about it. They told us there will be about 100 kids here tomorrow so it will be very busy and loud here!

We went to the orphanage again to make sure they were handing out vitamins and doing it correctly. Afterwards we stayed and played with the kids. They loooooooved having their pictures taken! Being at the orphanage is my favorite thing to do here so ...

taking more than one! After they were all handed out we stayed and played with

... that lasted for a whole hour and it was actually very exciting. You know you're in a third-world country when a game of Uno gets exciting.

We are going to start doing our home visits on Friday so until then it will be eating, napping, reading, repeat. We also got our first training on using the water purifiers and will start teaching the people how to use these once we get our second training.

... with Excel. I am starting to see the paper-work side of being in public health and don't mind it! I'm one of those weirdos who enjoys organizing papers and writing up reports about what we have done.

We will be trained on how to use the water purifiers tomorrow and then get to work on handing them out! I'm very excited to be doing house visits and be able to look deeper into the lives of the Haitian people!

... They were a little shy at first and as we walked up the hill to see them we could hear them all yelling, I can only imagine it was - HERE THEY COME... A wonderful greeting of song. It amazes me how much they loved to be held and cuddle.The girls have enjoyed my reddish hair and I was given a few braids (I don't think they will ever come out - and I loved every minute of it)
Such a kind and wonderful group!

If we can make the difference in one life it is well worth it!
