An early start to the day to make the 10.50am flight to Denver. Its not busy this morning so no delays getting to the gate. I had a dispute with Alamo, the rental car company when i dropped the car off. i had booked the car for 10 days, and they tried to charge me for 11. Lucky for me the lady that checked me in loved my accent and was only to happy to refund the overcharge.
The flight to Denver was very bumpy for the last 30 minutes due to a huge storm heading across the state.

Had a mixed day at Loveland. Lindsay and I drove to Loveland early and got on the slopes by 10:30 or so. Kirk, Chris and Vienne didn't get there until noon.

    • Weather was great

    • We skied all the blues runs
Unfortunately we didn't get to ski with Kirk, Chris and Vienne as they ended up ...

... to hike across an active volcanic zone or biking around ancient temples.  But alas, I was being a brat and this alledged "traveler's withdrawal" was 100% attributable to the fact that I had experienced an absolutely once in a lifetime journey and now is the time to reflect. My time abroad left me feeling incredibly fulfilled, grateful, and mentally at ease. The number of times I would be hiking along the ridge line of a mountain or having a conversation with someone that had ...

... in the free park and walk with our gear a short distance.
Keystone comprises 3 main peaks Dercum Mountain, North Peak and The Outback with runs coming down fom each. As the weather forcast was for a cold airmass bringing snow to arrive by early afternoon we decided to ski across to the farthest peak (the Outback) and work our way back from there. This proved to be a good decision.
The place was almost deserted with no queues anywhere and lovely long wide well groomed ...
