Sad to say goodbye to my great husband and wonderful kids. Happy I am going to be seeing my Mum. I saw Judy and Bruce Miller at the airport. I didn't speak to them but wish I had. Anyway, it has been a great day in Sydney! We only have a few more days here, then it's off to Cairns! ...

After they left for the airport we had a walk around the harbour and near the bridge, then headed back to the hostel, tired from hours of walking! Second day we visited ...

... to go through the departure gate, 4 Fijians would turn up with their guitars and sing the farewell Fiji song.

We sailed through immigration and customs in Sydney (again) despite the reputation of long waits, and now have to wait for the Virgin Australia flight to Cairns, we had hoped there would be an earlier flight, but at this time of the year only am and late pm flights, hence our 18.30 take off time.

At least we got rid of the cases as Virgin checked them straight ...
