    ... sides, but mainly to do with deadly Australians such as sharks, crocs, spiders, stingers etc!! On the way home we were entertained by an old gentlemen balancing bottles, doing rope tricks and then belly dancing for us...he invited me to join him and of course I couldn't resist...even got a few cheers from the mostly Turkish crowd. A very enjoyable ...

    The waterfront and boardwalks have a great ambience and are full of great 'turkish style' open-air restaurants.


    For us these Turkish Riviera Resorts are a real 'find' and match any in the rest of Europe .. they are beautiful.

    ... just like being at home! Apart from the temples carved into the cliffs dating back to 400BC. We got onto a boat to travel down the river delta, it was spooky (or was to me as I was the only one who had seen Apocalypse Now). If I had heard choppers I would have been diving for cover.     ... that was left was a shallow lake and marsh which gave rise to malaria which wiped out most of the population. An earthquake destroyed the rest of the city.

    Following this we went, by boat, to a local seafood restaurant. We started with a delicious meze plate and then they served chicken, beef or fish. the meze plate, which I had was delicious.

    Then the 1.5 hour ride back to the ship. Tomorrow is Kusadasi.
