    ... and also pleased we'd decided to pay for the meals all inclusive as this was the most expensive one! We headed to bed after briefly unpacking and digesting.

    The following morning we enjoyed a hot shower and examined our bure in the light. It was just off the beach, with a small stream running next to it and lots of coconut trees around it.     We arrived in Fiji early evening with no plans made for the following day. We thought it would be simple to organise accommodation and transport to the islands - we were wrong! It turns out that there is only one boat per day at 8.30am. Accommodation is also very expensive on the islands.     Day 12 (Tuesday 9th December 2014)

    We ventured into Nadi today, again via the Westbus. We stopped and had lunch at a Chinese Restaurant called Hong Sheng; not far from the bus stop. Upstairs it was well set out, neat and tidy. We sat at a large table and were the only ones there.

    ... not me because I’m diving the next day; so I dive straight for the sheets whilst the others continue to party. I ask the boys to wait to let off the fireworks until the next night – as fireworks and alcohol (only Zach on alcohol) don’t mix.

    I’m in bed – the girls are still going – I fade into the dive sheets and bliss of sleep with the alarm set for 0645.

    ... Lagoon! The next resort was Mata ray Resort. It was ok. Cold showers and compositing toilets. It was not Blue Lagoon but it was better the Waylailai. By the time we had got there it was coming around to dinner time. So we got ready and had a buffet and some drinks. That night e had to seriously cover yourself up with bug nets because there was not AC here just all the doors open!
