... spot for some pasta and wine, and then walked back to the port. After a short rest, we changed and met in the Sky Bar for sailaway from Genoa. It was a nice way to watch us leave port. After sailaway, it was time for dinner. It was steak night for me in the Grand Cuvee. Very good food so far! I went to the casino after dinner just to watch the others gamble, not my thing really, then off to bed.

... was the building behind it.I then traced my steps back to San Lorenzo Cathedral to admire the black white stonework and rather sad looking lion. I found THE best gelatto at Fruit and Nut – pistachio, tiramisu, and chocolate chip. I am glad I waited until Monterosso for my first taste of gelatto, it will be hard not to try some in Milan now. Genoa, the home of Christopher Columbus and a town I would like to spend more time in the next time I am back this way.

... I am too stubborn and didn't have a bus ticket to catch a ride home. I had to walk 3 km to the station at the end of the day, the only place I know of to buy a ticket. Silly Italian transportation systems... Granted, they rarely check tickets on the buses, but it did happen to me early in the day and I didn’t want to risk the 100 euro fine for not having one (I had a ticket then, no worries!)
