Having said that, we start our diving this afternoon – have to do a refresher as we haven’t dived for over 2 years. Not sure if I’ll be doing any diving as I’ve had a rotten cold and I’m not sure I’ll be able to clear my ears – we’ll see this afternoon!

... start crowing about 5:30 am and continue throughout the day until the evening. There was also cats and dogs that would just stop by for a visit. We drove around to the other side of the island to snorkel in rutaki passage. rarotonga was formed entirely from a volcano, so from the air you see the main island surrounded by a ring of bright blue, clear water, then a ring of white, and then a darker blue. the ring of white is all a natural protective reef barrier, outside of which the ocean floor drops down quickly. i snorkeled for about two hours before i got too cold. i wish i had an underwater camera, i saw some ...
