A travel blog entry by angelpenang on Dec 11, 2014

After breakfast, Visit to Matsumoto Castle, is unique for having both a secondary donjon and a turret adjoined to its main keep. The castle structures, in combination with their characteristic black wainscoting, give off an air of grandeur and poise. Then transfer to Daio Wasabi Farm, is one of Japan's largest wasabi farm and popular tourist destination. The farm has multiple large fields with a meticulously maintained ...

This all went to plan thanks to the helpful people in the information ...

... each and we had about 5 taxis to accommodate 21 people.

We caught the train to Matsumoto and then changed to go to Nagano. All this was on the local train and not the Shinkansen. By the time we reached the hotel, it was 8.15pm. We couldn't be bothered with dinner by that point and basically did the laundry and went to bed.

The next morning, we are due to go back to Matsumoto again to see the castle there.

I (Sharon) had a view of Japanese people as very reserved emotionally to the point that as an American, and especially one who spent nearly a quarter of a century in Latin America, I would consider them cold and unfriendly. Boy, was I wrong!

The Japanese people we have had the opportunity to spend time with have been so friendly, worked very hard to communicate with us in English, no matter how limited their English is--which no matter what ...
