... world's Joshua trees grow here. They are not really a tree, but a species of yucca. A majority are pretty scrawny, but there were many fine specimens. ... travel tripod (took it on the trip instead of my heavy duty one which was too weighty) attached my Pentax but with the weight of the telephoto lens the front kept tipping down. Successful nap time in the RV back at the campsite so we can run the A/C. It is still ridiculously hot inside the van but perhaps we are all getting a little more used to it. Couldn't survive in this heat without a hook up, so no more boon docking until it cools down a little. Rich and Emma sort the next leg of the trip. ... We had an Applebee's in our hotel car park so we ate in there most nights. We had our favourite boneless wings and bourbon st chicken $20 combo. We went there for happy hour as well and watched the sunset. We finally made it to Ihop for breakfast which was lovely although a bit pricy. We went jogging for the first time on this trip.
