... at which point I said screw it and we all just clambered back onto our longboat.

In short order we were rescued and towed back to the beautiful mangroves with their crystalline waters, which seemed like a lovely location to explore by kayak. At one point they killed the engine and we all thought, "seriously?!" Turns out, though, a group of monkeys were skipping through the trees next to us so the captains pulled over and brought out a bag of watermelon rinds. The monkeys ...

Apesar de muitos visitantes, não há sequer uma marca de civilização por ali, além das que ainda se mantém secretas, como no filme ...

... and about in the morning, I did some more investigating into the uses of Hong Thong as a means of scooter propulsion... It turns out, they actually do use it to fuel their scooters over here - it's sold in racks that say gasoline on them... There's a picture added so you can see for yourself... Amazing! Just another example of how everything here gets re-used as something else. There's workshops all over the place where they're just welding ...

... dumping on your neighbor just does not feel right.

Ever grateful for Darren’s solutions, we decided to get a blue barrel of our own, and to place our barrel on the roadside where the garbage trucks frequent. This sounds easy, but it proved to be a problem solving exercise. Reaching out to our support system, we went to see our friend Ying Tipmas, who owns a house and a shop in Old Town, and whose brother is the Mayor of Old Town. Pretty ...
