Another day heading into the unknown. We went downstairs at 8 and the same taxi driver from the day before was hanging around outside, he was trying to get our custom, I would have just got in to save the hassle of waiting but Charlotte rightly ignored him and we got a taxi straight away anyway. I thought I was being clever standing in about a foot of water waiting for a break in the waves to swim out. The current was so strong though that it pulled the sand and my feet from under me, throwing me onto my bottom just in time for a massive series of waves to crash onto the beach. The east coast grows on you...
... very loudly, for a very long time. We went to get some breakfast downstairs (I had a Nutella crepe!), then headed off to the restaurant we were at last night for a coffee. Mum brought the last map of Bali from the bookshop next-door, and a pack of cards with all the sites of Bali printed on the fronts instead of the normal Jacks etc. We saw lots of cockerels which must have been the ones that woke us, as well as ducks which wondered up the beach form the sea before rooting around ...
