... just get to the airport early. We made it through all of the checkpoints without any stress and the flight left right on time. Star even managed to get an activity book at the airport's Hard Rock Cafe to take home with her. Even knowing that it was going to be a lot colder in Adelaide, I still boarded the flight in shorts and Bintang singlet. I was great escaping from that ice cold snap that hit Adelaide right as we left. We all enjoyed some time in the sun on this trip for sure. ...

... reachable once the tide is out. The drop off point is a the top of the hill where there are tonnes of market stalls all selling the same thing. I'd ran out of clean clothes (sorry mum, I'm now a smelly traveller) so I brought a dress for 80 IDR about £4. As I reached as the cliffs I was as close to the temple as non Balinese can get. ... we wanted to get back. Can't complain.

This is likely the last blog entry for this trip. I hope these entries have helped everyone see these countries vicariously through our travels. They've all proven to be very different from what we imagined they'd be like through reading, tv, news, etc.. This blog has also helped us keep track this past year!

... and the statues always guard the entrances of temples for the same reason. They initially look scary but many are often dressed in sarongs and have flowers in their ears as they are worshiped protectors...they even get their own personalised offerings too!

The downside to the 'modern' Kuta was there were double the amount of hawkers on the street and beach all shouting things like 'hey ...

... Nat and Bianca headed home, Andrew and I grabbed some lunch and did a quick shop at Matahari's and crashed back at the apartments for a swim and Nanna nap. A few of us went to Mozzarella by the Sea for dinner. Quite nice but if they have to give you a torch to read the menu and you can't see what you are eating maybe the lighting has gone beyond atmospheric to plain bloody dark! We won't return!
