Its always a little awkward doing this wild camping thing. Its not officially illigal, but its definitely not somethig that parents teach their kids. When jan climbed out the tent this morning, he startled an early morning dog walker who wasnt quite sure what to make of the situation.
We packed up rather quickly after that, and breakfasted on the almighty coco-pops. Om-nom-nom! We never buy this **** at home, but on a bike tour, we can ...

... have had yet. We each got a dish of wild game, nuts, cranberries, a
yummy gravy, and spaetzle. Not to mention the bottle of locally made
        Riesling. We left completely stuffed.

        Sunday morning we visited
the main part of Freiburg, setting out to see the cathedral. One
oversight was that in Germany on Sunday mornings, almost everything is
closed. In fact most shops are closed for the entire day. We wanted to
        see the cathedral, ...

NOTHING is open! The only reason we put Mulhouse on our itinerary was the car museum. It was Andrew and Alain's dream to visit this museum, one of the largest car collections in the world. YAWN! So Andrew and Alain headed off this morning to live out their fantasies and the rest of us walked into town to find some breakfast. We ended up at the railway station where we had petit dejeuner.....breakfast. Nothing else was open. Certainly no Sunday morning cafe culture ...

... A lady in the town square was selling donuts so we bought some and it took so long to find a place to get lunch that by that time I had eaten 3 donuts!! Mon Dieu!! A Nanna nap (donut coma) was called for before we headed out for dinner. Our hotel caters for coach tours and so the restaurant at the hotel was full and very noisy so we opted for the Turkish restaurant across the road....for old times sake!!! Well it was fantastic and refreshingly cheap. ...

... cold weather, it was just the right time for us to finish our wonderful Alps adventure. We were blessed with a safe trip, lots of great memories, and tons of photos, but after 75 days, over 7,000 miles and 64 passes, we were ready to head home. We boarded our plan in Frankfurt, happy and a little road weary, knowing that we had just completed a milestone, content with the knowledge that there were lots of great roads and places left to see – next time.
