... to our English ones, there were a few floats and a lot of children dressed in costumes. Here as well as in Venice everyone had bags of confetti that they throw at each other, we were hit a couple of times! We returned to the car park and headed back onto the wine trail, it just happens to be going in the direction that we are! We once again passed through some lovely villages until we reached the aires we had chosen. There is just one other camper ...

Yesterday, as predicated, was a nice quiet day at home spent blogging, playing card games and watching movies. It was fantastic to just sit and relax. The kids also took the opportunity to walk to a park about 1km away to have some playtime on their own without their parents hanging around.

Completely refreshed I joined the crowd for breakfast in the lovely sunshine. There was much discussion about which routes to take as there are so many fabulous roads in this area. Gernot (in the sidecar), me and Bernt made up the "slow" group going north and the others headed off for a "fast" ride south.

It was such a delight to just follow again and not look at a map all day. Bernt knew the roads well and we ...

Wally had to work so Chris and I set off about 11am to take a leisurely cruise to Labaroche and Gernot and Wally will follow later in the sidecar, taking the Autobahn.

Our first stop was *****e where we had a coffee and then Chris went up to wander around the citadel. I took one look at the steep drive of cobbles and begged off.

We then got totally lost trying to get out of *****e and ...
