... back to our hotel. It was about 9:00pm and let me tell you, it was still hot and humid out. I forgotten what the south the was like in the summer. I was seriously just looking forward to having a goodnight's sleep after being up for almost 24 hours and was praying for a better day and my luggage the next day! Traveling drains you out for sure. I've never travelled for a flu day like that before, so my body was definitely calling for some sleep!

On a lighter note, the sunshine was excellent medicine. Everyone suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder should make it a point to break up the winter and go somewhere warm with lots of vitamin D-rich sunshine. You will think, work, and generally perform better. Rx Sunshine. Great thing.

Tonight we met some
nice people at Crooners bar. They were from Canada and were good to chat
to. We watched "The Wolverine"
on the Movies Under The Stars deck and both agree it was one of the worst films
ever…..ever. About half way through it,
a couple of very loud and very drunk Americans decided to sit down ...
... bedroom compared to a loud airport) and I almost missed the stupid plane... We landed.....Then began my 15 hour lay over here in the ft. Lauderdale airport.... I don't like Florida airports.... Their carpets smell like cat pee because of the humidity.... Get rid of the stupid carpet! You would think I would be an expert at sleeping in airports... I am not. I tried sandwiching myself inbetween 3 seats and their arm rests... I tried hugging my backpack ...
... the basics. To give you an idea; the cheapest bread was $3 so the sooner I get daywork, the sooner I can start thinking in $'s. Tried to take a nap, didn't happen. Luckily Kate, a housemate asked me to join her for a walk. She showed me around a bit, much better shortcuts to the routes I took today. Going out tonight and seeing Ellen and Nic tonight. Cheryl called, I have my first daywork tomorrow to get some experience ...
