    ... Nusa Lembongan, which ironically is where I'm heading in a couple days for the last few days of my time in Bali. But anyway, she offered to take me with her this morning for a walk on a beach a little farther down the way. I jumped at the opportunity to see more of this area, and we had a lovely time!     ... were able to get a park attendant to throw some rice at him (while he ate Rieko's nose pads from her glasses)...he dropped them and Dev grabbed them back...all covered in monkey slime....we guide Rieko back to the scooters and hit the road.

    Another adventurous day...as our 3rd son Adan says "It is all part of the show!"....Kina and Dev were yet again killing themselves laughing....

It’s fascinating and genuinely interesting, and we now understand why we’ve seen so many places like this is Ubud – it all makes sense once you understand the design and background!     We headed back relatively early having not eaten dinner or found any street vendors selling food and hit room service once again. Throughout the night we had remarked how this was exactly what we had hoped to experience, a truly authentic cultural encounter, not put on for the tourists. We had a fantastic evening and felt the genuine warmth of the people as well as the significance of what this event meant to the local population. ...

    Got up, had breakfast, laid by the pool, mum had a massage and I had a facial, laid by the pool some more, ordered fresh juices, ordered lunch, ordered coffee, and laid by the pool... til 5pm! Went to the gym, got back to the hotel room to find mum hugging the toilet bowl ...
