... we went back to hotel for a few hours before trying at 5pm to get a cab for the Blue Note. That was really a challenge for the hotel guy and it took probably 20+ minutes! But we eventually got one and got there about ten of 6... Perfect time to get in line and wait for doors to open at 6. ... is on e 41nd street and Madison and was tricky to find. It's really only a few blocks from Grand Central so we could have taken the train. We dropped the bags off and parked at an ICON lot on 39 and walked back. We were bushed so went across the street to Benjamin's Steakhouse. It was a zoo with tons of holiday work parties. ... I am trying to remember where we saw the other servants quarters - could it have been the Gould house? There seems to be more recognition of the role the servants played in the historical sites. We were to hear and see how the Irish servant women lived in several different houses on our tour of New York.
