... room with a very angry Balinese man telling us to hurry up..the cheek of it! He then proceeded to drive on the other side of the road proving a very hairy ride in the dark until we got to the bottom of the volcano. It wasn't very well organised and we practically trekked up it ourselves in the dark with one torch to share, trying not to slip and fall as the guide was useless and kept taking us the wrong route! We were glad we did do this in the dark... on the way ...

... Denpasar to Seminyak. We headed to our hostel 'Neds Hideaway' which was very basic to stay the least but at just 5 each for a private ensuite room, we couldn't really complain. It was late when we arrived, made later by the time difference so got straight to sleep.

The next day we woke and headed out for breakfast and to explore Seminyak. We certainly felt like we were abroad with hundreds of mopeds zooming past and a heat that we've not ...

... of the way, offer you a taxi ride or waiting to park the cursed thing where you are standing!! - Lynne has just returned from what sounded like a wild thrill ride through the middle of it all to the laundry on the back of the cleaner's motor bike (undertaken without helmet or warning) - during which she screamed the whole way - it was hilarious. On the up side the whole bag of washing cost about 2 and came back wrapped and pressed (result), seems a bit of a shame to wear ...
