... one was an olive oil bar which did amazing food and pretty decent wine too - you got to taste the home made oils and butters with lots of breads and salads. Very indulgent! My final day in Split was spent on a boat trip to a nearby lagoon and two islands. Met some Aussies who were on the same trip so spent most of the day with them. It was a memorable day for many reasons! The scenery was stunning and the places we stopped beautiful, but it was a little odd/worrying when we had to ...

Straight after that we got cooking for lunch- we started the fire again and chopped all the veggies (not that there was a lot left- mainly just a **** load of onion) and we started cooking at about 1pm- we sat down to eat at 4pm! ... only here in Dubrovnik for less then a day, it quickly shot to the top of my power rankings as one of my favorite places. It was just so beautiful and had to much activity down the main street. - The walls of Dubrovnik are actually world heritage listed, as they have lasted out so much over time (including Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, and the city being completely rebuilt during the war). - The only negative I could find about the city was the amount of ...

... and in North America I wouldn't mind but here it means we are one of the bigger cars on the road, and gas and insurance will be a bit more. Jill and I both agree that if they call it an upgrade we should be driving a convertible... no such luck. We (I should say Jill as she is the one driving, although I am on the rental so that may change) quite easily made it out of Split and onto the A1 which is the highway that took us almost all the way to Sibenik which ...
