... Lost Horse Valley and surrounding mountains. It was way cooler than Keys View at the time. So I found a nearby pile of rocks to climb up on, and just sat in amazement for a long time. There was a great view of the "Wonderland of Rocks", or what I like to call the wonderwall. The north side of the valley is lined by a long row of small granite mountains, looking like a solid wall of rocks just plopped down onto the plain.

... VIPs. We will be welcomed as heroes by colleagues and old friends, meet new friends, and soak our travel weary feet in the warm pacific. We will recount vivid tales of the road while letting the sales guys buy all the drinks. Wow, what more can I say! I was drooling over all the rocks I could have been climbing if Cline had decided to meet us here. The pictures describe it better than any words I can come up with.

The campgrounds are beautiful but, the camp sites are practically on top of each other and we were lucky to find an open site, even with the numerous campgrounds in the park. That was the first time I had snoring on all ...

... way in we were waiting for someone to be thrown out through the doors, spaghetti western style. Once inside, we grabbed a booth and admired the authentic old school bar feel that the place has - pool table, loud customers, traditional beers, and food served in a basket! We had a classic US style burger, very tasty.

After leaving the town we stopped at Pioneer Town, which was built as a movie set in 1946.

Next up a long drive to Kings Canyon National Park.
