A travel blog entry by amzellen on Sep 08, 2014

... after that mission nothing else really happened. Boarding flight, few little bumps but nothing major. Was cool flying over Central America at night as you could see the coast line with all the pretty lights. Jorge picked me up (a guy from the company, not just some random stranger, don't worry mum) and now at hostel. Nothing special. Got to be up at 5:00 tomorrow for the bus journey down to da beach. The journey awaits ...

I truly don't know why there is even a building that is called the ...

Along the way we drove through Jaco, a beach and surf community, and then stopped for lunch and souvenir shopping. Mario wanted to show us some crocodiles, so we got off the bus, walked along the side of the road, and came across 100 or so tourists with their heads looking over a bridge in a shallow river bed below. ...

The Adventure Begins

A travel blog entry by bargreenwood on Nov 07, 2013

Well here we are In Costa Rica. All the travel arrangements went according to plan. After an early start from home we checked in at Manchester airport for our flight to Atlanta. The elderly 767 was flying into a head wind so we were a bit late arriving which caused a few worries as the layover wasn't very long. However it all worked well, going through immigration ok - being in the end line was good because there were officials in both the crew lane and immigrant ...
