Our trip to Milano got a late start--not our fault. The high speed train, Frecciarossa, was delayed over an hour due to some political rumblings/rallies in Bologna.

... we seem to be travelling through a valley with mountains on either side. We pass Lake Maggiore, mountains still in view, travelling south to Milan, weather is improving as we go South, we arrive at Milan station 11.37am. Train leaving Milan at 12.15pm so quick stop at toilets, that's 1Euro ($1.40 AUD), decided to grab a quick lunch at Burger King and use the toilet on the train for free! ... hard to choose. We decided to get the fast boat back and got on the rapido service which took just over an hour. We walked back to our hotel via another gelati shop, the same one from yesterday. We needed to burn off the sugar so when we got back, we got changed and went up to the rooftop pool.
