... and the immaculate conception! After a lovely outdoor lunch we drove almost two hours to our hotel for tonight - Porto Otilio - down a steep windy road to the coast. I have a lovely room - with very bad wifi reception - with an ocean view. I went swimming in the Ionian Sea area of the Mediteranean as well as in the lovely hotel pool. A lot of us would like to stay in this quiet beautiful spot - but we have the Diros Caves and Kardamyli to see - and will sleep in Olympia tomorrow ...

Too bad we couldn't get her story. The caves were amazing. We jumped in a small boat and meandered along a small portion of the over 5 km of caves hidden ...

... of days we were fed up with sitting on the beach so hired a car for a week and set off on our first trip which was to Olympia. The 3 hour drive was worth it although we were concerned it would be overrun with tourists. Not so. It seems that most people just want to lie on the beach – and who can blame them if, unlike me, they have been working hard. There were only 4 coaches there and a handful of cars and most people were leaving by the time we got ...
