    ... the euro. Today there were queues outside many banks getting longer every minute. Places have stopped taking credit cards due to bank charges (the place I ate last night only accepts cards on a Saturday the rest of the week is cash only) Greek was very nearly the universal language of Europe, a vote put English just one ahead and therefore we all learn/speak english. They had the most amazing stone workers that I have seen and are not bad at pottery ...

    ... during the day. Then we went back to the sea front and decided to hop on a ship for a cruise around the bay! There were 3 to choose from and they all just circle the Bay Area for about 30 minutes. All you have to buy a drink (coffee/juice/alcohol/etc) and entry is free. We ended up sitting on a boat for about 30 minutes before they took off and the whole next day we still felt like we were on a boat, but it was worth it!

    ... the squares where there are lots of cafés and the market area.

    We loved the old hotel where we were staying and the restoration work that Vassillis, the owner was doing in the building. The dining room was so tastefully decorated. The ceiling in the bedroom was covered in original friezes. His grandfather had bought the hotel in 1923.
