    Next stop on our two day Tahitian tour was Moorea, this island is located less than 10 nautical miles away from Papeete and separated by the Moorea Channel. It is also one of our few tender ports, which made getting off the ship interesting.

    We left the hotel and checked in at Auckland. It was easy because Air New Zealand has a private check-in for Star Gold, even if your economy. The lounge was packed and breakfast was ok. I had pancakes from their automatic pancake maker. The plane was nice, glad I called for seats. They had me in row 34 originally and they put us in row 9.     ... went down to the theatre only to find no one there. When we went over to reception and were told it wasn’t on and that if we’d watched the briefing on the TV we were ok.

    When we went back to the cabin there was a letter in our letterbox from the safety officer noting that we hadn’t attended the briefing and providing us with instructions on what to do in case we did a Titanic.

    ... are known as fa'afafine. He was really sweet. Lunch itself was not included for us so we bought the same meal the others were having. It was, like everything in Tahiti, ridiculously expensive.
