    ... set up under a large tent, and food vendors selliing the traditional Bahamian food, plus many beer stands.

    There was a straw market which was a big area where merchants so their souvenirs and hand made baskets, but that burned down the week before the regatta. It was sad to see, but Sandals down the road donated a large tent for the ladies to set up and sell what they had left.

    April 15 we went to Lee Stocking Island. This was about a 28 nm sail and we ended up motor sailing part way and sailing the other half there. We anchored in a bay just out from what was once the Perry Institute for Marine Science. This was closed down in 2011 as there was not enough funding, but all the buildings, much of the equipment and whats left of an airport runway are still there.     ... the Thunderball Grotto! The Snorkel was incredible, when we were here with Craig and Majorie we weren't able to snorkel because the tides were wrong it is a must do for next year. It's hard to explain the beauty that we saw but I will try, there are caves running under the big rock and at low tide you can swim right inside we were not at a real low tide so could only go in a bit...I slowly cautiously followed Bryan in and I'm so glad I did ...

    ... man restaurants, all the water sports which include scuba and of course the Greg Norman golf course.

    From there back towards the marina I stopped in at the Grand Villa Resort and made reservations for dinner pool side (as I mentioned that is the only restaurant we have to choose from) it is a nice grill style restaurant which very good food so not a hardship.
