... our heads. Karen went straight down the falls of a large protruding rock and managed to stay on the kayak.

I went down a rapid sans equipment, just using my life vest and holding my feet high out front to ensure that I wasn't going to get snagged on a rock, was great fun.

Got back to the hotel around 6pm...exhausted, had a great steak, wrote this blog and bed.

... were playing telephone that one of the girls had started the game with "Scott and Alex should get married". I thought, not only is that such an obvious thing, but it reassured me that a pair of children could see how well we work together. Children are extremely perceptive. ... I notice the many water drips have frozen as they ran down the siding of the RV. By 0800 those frozen drops are starting to thaw. It's time to pack up and head out. That will be easy as we have a minimal amount of hardware to store and we never disconnected the truck from the coach.

Off we go and drive through the beautiful Grande Ronde Valley. We have snow capped mountains to the east and west of us. Beauty everywhere one gazes. About 45 minutes down the road ...

... a waste.this has been the first cold day we have had and I must say I had to get all my winter gear out including wearing one of Jays jackets. The sun came out in the late afternoon and we were able to have a BBQ on the balcony. It has been nice to enjoy a relaxing day and yarning over some beer and wine - well Gary drinks my share.
