Vera and I planned a last minute getaway with the kids to Orlando where we visited Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Vera had not visited Animal Kingdom before so that was a must see, and I think she really enjoyed it.
... She lives with her "aunties" and other "brothers and sisters" at Chitipi, where we visited on our first day for the welcome ceremony. Tapiwa was in my group during the VBS and I loved to sing to her and watch her smile. She is non-verbal and in a wheelchair but she has so much joy that radiates out of her!

I then started reading ‘And the Mountains Echoed’ by Khaled Hosseini (of Kite Runner fame) and got completely hooked – it’s a great book, read it continually and finished it this morning.
