If you cannot afford the top two levels of Disney hotels then in my opinion you would do better to stay off property and travel in by car. Yes, you will have to pay parking but you can get there under your own schedule as early as you like and leave when you like.

If you are staying off Disney property and including Universal parks in your plans then it might be worth spending ...

Today is our one of our down days - a day to sleep in (we did) and relax - which we did big time! Seriously, I don't have much to write about. Let's see, I went to the Activity Center to get a book from their yellow shelf library because I want something to read while laying by the pool.

Hayley and I faced our It’s a Small World fears after lunch, the ride as creepy and annoying as I recall. I think I fared better than she did though, the lips moving on the dolls particularly freaking her out. We do appreciate the irony that Small World was more frightening than Haunted Mansion however, which turned out to be simply naff. It even got stuck ...

... all of them!! Thomas has read all the books so he was in his element. Whether you are a Harry Potter fan or not it is still very impressive. Universal have designed an entire Diagon Alley. Jellied eels, a fire breathing dragon on the Gringotts bank, the Knight bus and magical shops everywhere greeted us as we walked in. It was amazing and clearly a big draw for Harry Potter fans, most interesting were the magic wands ...

... participate but no worries because she returned the favor and soon both DJ Kiki and Big Rob were up on the pool deck dancing away! Joe and I stayed on the side lines and hid! We had a great day.
