    Quit Altea after mailing on another large box of "shopping" to London, plus another to next destination Pinos del Valle. Two-day ride to get there, searing heat along the fast A7 mostly, 233 miles, Alicante/Murcia/Lorca then east on N340 through desert, arriving at Tabernas 4:00PM where decided to rest up.

    ... outside for a menu Del Dias which is menu of the day for only 9 euros you could have 3 courses, bargain. We sat in the sun outside the restaurant listening to a Spanish lady playing her guitar, enjoying a beer, Spanish food, Wendy couldn't believe in the morning she was leaving Gatwick in the cold and rain and here she was sitting by the beach in the sun with mountains around us.     ... sunny day makes all the difference. An early get up on Tuesday was necessary as we were meeting the Walking Club at Cortijo Grande car park for 10.15am for the Wild Boar walk of 12km into the mountains.
