It took a full day to make it from Sandakan in Borneo to the Perhentian Islands off the East coast of Malaysia. We flew mid afternoon from Sandakan to KL then on from there to Kota Bharu. We had a few hours to kill in KLIA2 so didn't arrive in Khota Bharu until late night so had to stay over there before moving onto the Perhentians the following morning.
