If Carlsberg Did Islands...
... are so funny, good to have a bit of English banter. I sing Gaultier with the band when they ask for a volunteer, which goes down a storm despite the fact I’m nervous as hell and consequently not very good. Chat to so many people, sing along to great tunes, dance salsa, see the wicked Will.I.am dude from the other night again. Drink far too much Monkey Juice, Stefan heads home which I should do but having such a good time, stay with all the others. Great night, so so much ...
Just another 8 days in Paradise
... At the other spots there was masses of fish and coral. We saw some black tip reef sharks that we had missed at Phi Phi in Thailand, so that was good. We saw a stingray and a giant head parrot fish in the Blue Lagoon that was over a metre long with massive human like teeth. He didn't like us very much though and swam away at a great rate of knots. They went easy on us in our first day - a bit of snorkelling to teach us about the different types of coral and then free time until dinner. Dinner was a delicious local chicken dish, eaten on the floor with the 16 other volunteers. The basic room's issues were shown at night with Kate finding a GIANT cockroach in the bathroom and the mosque ...
Under the Sea
... The island itself is also stunning; it is just a huge mass of jungles. And the sea, oh the sea. Flat, turquoise, warm and full of little fish. As you can imagine, a place like this leaves little to write in the blog as we spent so much time relaxing in this perfect little paradise.
We did, however, spend a day taking a snorkeling trip, and what a brilliant day it was. The first stop was at some coral near a lighthouse, and as soon as we jumped in we were surrounded ...
