In the Riad where I stayed I met some wonderful people from Brunei and I keep in contact with them in Facebook. They told me that in Brunei even housing is paid for by the Government. That is the way to live!
I met a very interesting man in a beautiful old house in the Medina, now used as a Restaurant, the Riad Dar Timtam.
