        ... one spotted in USA to date so she was happy.

        As we arrived and left Palm Spring we drove past the wind farm on the San Gorgonio Mountain Pass in the San Bernadino Mountains. It is a pretty amazing sight with more than 4000 separate windmills that provide enough electricity to power Palm Springs and the entire Coachella Valley.

        Three days in Palm Springs was enough, now, which way to Vegas.

That lead to a 30 minute conversation between us about Winnipeg: that he grew up and played cards with our current mayor and a few other well known 'Peggers, that he worked out in Western Canada before finding his way into Northwest U.S. borders and met his wife who just happens to be the doubles game match-maker at the same club I'm at today.

        ... site was very peaceful, nice people, pleasant place to unwind. The Salton Sea has a very interesting history. We really enjoyed the stay. Now… off to Quartzite, Arizona, to what’s said to be one of the nation’s largest camping shows. Not too many more days to t-shirts and shorts! Then  off to Mesa to pick up mail & stock up on groceries for the drive to Tombstone Territory… and New Mexico sites (Carlsbad Caverns…) and continue on to the south ...

        ... so pleased with herself.

        After dinner tonight Rich and Dylan head to the swimming pool for a dip. Dylan is coming on in leaps and bounds, literally. He goes straight to the side and jumps in, then back out, time and time again. Then he swims from the steps to Rich. This soon turns into a lazy glide across to Daddy as his energy levels drops. It still has us in stitches as he lazily floats across and awaits his rescue.

        ... so dry it's now a golf course.) There was tennis courts, basketball courts, a kids playground and yet it was empty except for a few dog walkers. It was probably for the best really given that we didn't manage to run very far! The only touristy thing we did was Indian Canyons. We walked along Palm Canyon, which takes you through lots of palm trees down on the canyon floor. They seem so out of place yet are really pretty. We did the first mile on this hike and ...
