Up about 8.30 for brekky in our hotel before a 10:30am train to Rabat to have a look at the Medina and Casbah which look over the Atlantic Ocean. We stop for afternoon tea at a cafe over looking the river and have some mint tea and sweet treats.
5:30pm and we catch another train to Meknes.

The Rue Souika is the main route thro' the medina and what a privilege this was! There was absolutely no hassle from trandesmen and just one or two tourists! After enjoying being able to stop and look at things without being interrupted was a dream and just nice to actually enjoy the souq. They actually live on a mountain so to hike to town every day takes at least an hour for grocerys, school, etc. It reminded me of films from centuries ago the fact that these people are still living this way. The woman has 8 kids and said she had every single one in their mountain bungalow- she has never been to a hospital. ...
