As soon as we boarded the boat from Ko Phi Phi to Lanta the usual scams started, in particular the cost of taxis seem to be the main subject of debate during these conversations. The man on the boat who gets you to book in advance says it will be 500 Baht to get to your resort, however first taxi off the boat only 300 Baht, incredible! My advice on …

... the minute we set off and to make it even harder then was a strong undercurrent which couldn’t be seen from above so every paddle was tough on our backs.
