A great day ruined in its last hour
Today we left the happiest place on Earth and ventured to the most expensive place on Earth, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The attractions here are great but the price is steep. First they get you for entry $140 per person!! Then they offer you an express pass for 70 more. We declined, at first.Joe was the lead man today and was like …
Big day at the parks
Today was first of 2 all- day park visits. we still had the car from our trip to Tampa so opted to use it instead of Disney's bus system. We headed out into the heat for the Magic Kingdom. We did some strategic planning and hit all of the big highlights.I headed off to get fast passes for Splash Mountain while everyone else hopped in line for …
Tttthhhheeee yaaaaankees win!
We split up for a while today. Joe and Rob headed out bright and early for a round of golf and Carey and I headed off to typhoon lagoon water park with the kids. The weather has been great, a little humid but so far no rain. I know it sounds like we drew the short straw but We had fun day getting wet! The wave pool at this park is amazing. It …
Animals all day
Today was all about the animals! We grabbed a quick breakfast in our room and headed out to the animal kingdom. Our first stop was Expedition Everest. We all went on but Robbie and Emma were a little rattled when we got off. Next, was Kali River Rapids. Experience has taught me that I would rather look like a fool in a rain poncho than walk around …
A long day but a great start
The trip started off with the usual chaos! We saw deer on the hill as we left the neighborhood( they seem to want to wish us farewell whenever we start a vacation!) . At least they did not jump in front of the limo this time. Then the limo driver missedthe exit for I 84. Luckily, Rob was watching because I was so tired I think I was already …

TravelPod Member ReviewsDisney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village Orlando
We stayed here using our DVC points. We were warmly greeted at the main entrance and were informed that our room was ready even though we arrived early. The room is fabulous. I booked a standard view to save on points but our room, 7939, has a savanna view. you can just make out the pool but there is a watering hole just beneath our balcony. There are always animals out there, especially the okapi, which is rare. So far we love this resort. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, our room was spotless. the only disadvantage is probably the lack of a quick service restaurant but Jambo house is just a 5 minute ride by courtesy shuttle.
