The bream was most skilfully deboned using the techniques we learned in Positano . Most successfully too. ... the volcanic eruption of 1613BC the ancient village was coated in a thick blanket of volcanic ash. There it lay until 1967 when it was discovered and excavations began. No one knows what became of the Minoan population of Santorini. The most popular theory is that they fled from the increasingly volatile volcano to nearby Crete. To be fair, that's what I would do.

After a very short sleep (because Sean wouldn't settle down or stop face timing people!), we woke up at 5:30 to catch the subway to Port Piraeus to catch our ferry to Santorini. We boarded the ferry which had a ton of amenities (Blue Star Delos), found some seats and had an awesome cappuccino. Then an announcement came on saying they had cabins available. ... slid down the saddle facing the front. I walked back, found dior, she was font ok but Milans donkey refused to go so he got off. I walked with him the rest of the way! What an incredible effort. Today was about exploring the history of the island and further working on our tan. First on the list was a visit to Ancient Akrotiri. This sight showcases the remnants of a town that was buried during the massive volcanic eruption 3,500 years ago. The town itself dates from around 3000 B.C., or 5,000 years ago!
