I made butter chicken, coconut rice and steamed vegies. Haven't had a good feed of veg for awhile. Tim was disappointed to find that there wasn't any reception for channel ten so he could watch the Grand Prix. Instead we watched a show on what things have shaped the modern world on channel 1. There was a few showers of rain in the evening so we played cards in the van and chatted with the Wellmans while the kids watched a DVD and had another very late night.

We headed to a pearl farm anchored out on the bay where they grow black pearls with a different type of pearl shell than in Broome and north.
These guys were also 3rd generation farmers who had spent many years perfecting their skills and were growing some remarkable pearls and pearl/gem combinations. What are those?

What a wonderful way to start the next morning; up at sunrise and a walk up the cliff side to see the waves below and across the bay to what’s called Useless Loop. This is one of the place names that Lee and I giggled at when we were checking out maps before we left. Just above Useless Loop is Inscription Island where apparently Dirk Hartog left an inscribed plate when he found land in 1616. ...
