Today was the best day of sunshine since in Phuket and the water was clear as ever.I have walked all over the beach and then I continued my friendship with Charlie from Wuerzburg that probably will occupy my hotel room after my next departure for India. He is in a good hotel where he pays 60 euro per night, but his room that I saw today, is worse than mine of 10 euro although the courtyard of his hotel, is a fairy tale with a pool, a nice bar and restaurant where you dinner ...

Patong is really nice? Well as a place it is not! But it was a lot of fun for a day and night.
Arrived from Phuket around lunch time and had a little walk around to try and find some food. The main strip in Patong is nuts! Endless row of bars, clubs, Go Go Bars, 'massage' parlors and touristy stuff. The beach wasn't any less seedy when we finally got there.. It took a while to get down the road as it's time consuming turning down guys for cheap suits ...

... road. We found somewhere. Looking through the menu Nathan saw a massive rat running under the tables. So the whole evening we spent playing footsies making each other jump! We had a sea food platter to share which wasn't great! We had to ask how to open the cockles. After the "starter" as Jamie called it we went to a street stall and had some chicken skewers which were so much better and 960 baht cheaper!! Lesson learnt on that ...
