Set off early for San Francisco airport to pick up the car. Was a bit worried id end up with something ****** like a seabring. Fortunately, I was offered a choice of a mustang or a Chevy Camero. Went for the Camero and named it Lulu! After going to all the expense of replacing my broken sat nav a few months back, I discover the Lulu has a very high end entertainment system including satellite radio, sat nav and touch screen rear view mirror. ... not just the food. It's partly, but not entirely determined by what grows locally. We hope I&A pick-up on some of this. ......And how absurdly quickly will we forget these minor insights and be sucked back into the old routine? Having got the taste for travel, it would be nice to keep going, but unfortunately I made a pinky-promise with Karen (practice manageress) to go back to work sometime next year. ...

We woke up this morning wondering if we were in California in July. It was about 50 degrees F, foggy, and misting but we figured that at some point it would warm up and/or clear up.
We set out to explore Bodega Bay, the setting for Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "The Birds." I was not a fan of the movie, but it sounded like a nice place to get some pics of the beach. We arrived to a gray, cold, wet fishing ...
