... Forty-one? Damn, that’s a lot of pencil lead. Years later, when asked why it took so long to erase so much, he simply said "I couldn’t get the words right."

I read once where Hemingway taught his friend Ezra Pound to box in the living room of Pound’s small studio apartment on the rue Notre Dame des Champs. Ezra, who in 1945 was held captive in a circus cage in Pisa for having the poor judgment to pick Hitler and ...

We visited Dianne's favorite nursery yesterday, the Cottage Gardens of Petaluma. Can I take it home with me please? Last night was only the second bit of rain since I arrived just over a week ago and we actually had to take shelter in the nursery building as it came down hard but the plants looked very happy.

This nursery has amazing plants, especially succulents and roses (some ...

... but my only complaint was the staff didn't wipe off the crumbs from the table before dessert. It made the table look well, "crummy". The server also "forgot" our coffee, but instead said it was being made... yet our dessert was melting while we waited. That error was really poor show.

Overall a great dinner, but the last part of bad service gave them a B+
