Set off early for San Francisco airport to pick up the car. Was a bit worried id end up with something ****** like a seabring. Fortunately, I was offered a choice of a mustang or a Chevy Camero. Went for the Camero and named it Lulu! After going to all the expense of replacing my broken sat nav a few months back, I discover the Lulu has a very high end entertainment system including satellite radio, sat nav and touch screen rear view mirror. ... shaded canyon just off the river. The sites were nicely laid out and bathrooms were spotless, with hand soap (a rarity!). The only downfall was that it took us a couple of hours to get the Scamp set up. Sometimes we just cannot get it leveled and this was one of those times. Overall a great dinner, but the last part of bad service gave them a B+

... br> Today I worked a bit with Dave doing insulation and trying to help get the ceiling drywall up. Watching Dave problem solve as we go along is truly amazing. He just modifies or creates tools to handle what normally takes a crew. He is really a one-man show, but I try to lend a hand when I can. The ceiling is tough for me because I have limited motion in my shoulder and can’t really do the work over my head thing very well, but I am great with the walls! ...

The Ancient Redwood RV park is at the entrance to the Avenue of the Giants, so when we began our trek today, we were awed by these enormous, ancient trees. We ventured off the drive to see the "Chandelier Tree" which has numerous branches that divide at the top to resemble a chandelier. But most intriguing about the tree is the fact that there is a hole at the base large enough to drive a car through. Of course, the RV wouldn't fit, but it was ...
