... the foodies that we are though, Lucas and I still ventured out for dinner later on. We sat outside under a shelter in the rain, on the cobbled streets in such a spanishy feeling restaurant. It was so lovely and authentic, I love South America! There was pretty relentless thunder throughout our meal and eventually the whole island suffered a mass powercut. It was all very exciting!

... of the bay to have our BBQ lunch. Chicken, sausages, meat coming with vegetables and rice. Really good food. And the caipirinhas kept coming in. I wish I brought some beers though. After lunch I went for a swim before we went overt to blue lagoon. I was a little disappointed about the blue lagoon, I thought it would be more spectacular. ... we set OUR sights on getting to the top. Had breakfast and we took some supplies with us. It is recommended to take a guide and it is estimated to be a 6 - 7 hour walk. Of course, there was an Australian guy round at the hostel, he'd done in just over 2 hours! He must have thought we were from Israel....and started laying down the challenge early on.

We got lost near the beginning, having walked past a small track off to the right. We retraced our steps ...
