... II. New Bight is the 'new' main town on Cat Island and is this island's regatta site. There are several restaurants and bars, a large hardware / grocery store, and everything that we could possibly need. Here, together with Rita and Dave from Bliss II, we climbed to the top of Mount Alvernia - the highest point in the Bahamas - where we explored "the hermitage". A Short Stay

Somehow the communication between Joanne and the owner of the Orange Creek Inn got mixed up and nobody was at the airport to pick us up. Luckily, the owner of another hotel was there to pick someone up (who did not show up) and he offered to drive us to the Inn. On the way to our destination, he played guide and pointed out important areas on the island as well as places to eat and drink.
