Paradise Found!
Well, at least for us...Back away from all the bustle, we've arrived in a private stretch of shoreline with nothing between us and beyond. Little rustic beach huts are a jungle walk away from the main area and are perched up on a cliff top. Sounds of birds , cicadas and lizards fill our ears while exotic insects flick over nearby rocks and …
Cruising the North
Marc pakt de tas in voor een paar weken chillen op de eilanden, en ik wordt beneden aan het werk gezet om het weblog weer te up daten, want dat is alweer even geleden en er is alweer een hoop gebeurd. We waren gebleven in Chiang Mai. Een fijne stad, en een goede manier om Thailand een beetje te leren kennen. Nog niet zo toeristisch en de mensen …
Ko Chang / Island

MidSongkran's night dream
Today should be the height of Songkran but it's all gone a bit quiet here on the island. I have a lovley lazy day in the hammock and emailing and blogging. In the afternoon Jean and I decide to go for a snorkel to abait the feeling of total sloth. Sean tells us the bay is excellent for snorkelling (not sure he does much himself?), it's actually …
Lazy day
Falling asleep to crickets and waves is a lot more soothing than Bkk traffic. Its warmer as we don't have a/c.
Breakfast is pancakes and fruit juice-yum. A storm is brewing on the horizon and to out left over the hills. The heavans open just as we finish eating. My Songkran soaked clothes on the veranda are not going to be dry are they. I spend …

We ended up extending our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere with the restaurant sitting over the water. We stayed in the backpacker hut and had a beautiful view of the sunset over the cliff top, but there are a range of different accommodations available. Very helpful staff with a range of activities at the doorstep. Also, good association with a dive school if you're into that.

The restaurant\communal area has an amazing view and you can easily spend all day here. The rooms are rustic as desribed but suited us just fine (we had the upgrade to include toilet and shower-worth the extra money). The huts are very basic and don't forget your toilet-roll! You will definatlely be close to nature :) The owner,Sean, is eager to help with any questions. Took us out for a Songkran soaking which was brilliant fun.
Wish we could stay longer, may well redirect my trip later on to come back.
