We will post trip information here as soon as it starts. For 2010, we will continue planning the project and look for Sponsors that are willing to invest and support the Project. All indications in that regard is ...
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico pamericas... but both of us had decided that a day of mindless relaxation (like we haven’t had that the whole trip) would fair us better.
We arrive in Acapulco at 9:00AM and dock at the pier. We meet our tour guide and after about a 45 minute bus trip through the heart of Acapulco, we arrive at the resort. On the way, the bus stopped at a lookout for a five minute photo opportunity to view Acapulco Bay.
Getting ...
From the ship we boarded a bus for a tour of the city. It took us around the bay
of the city. Then a Short street to the Pacific side where the
Cliff divers are. We were able to shop for about 30 minutes, then went through the la brea hotel to
look at the cliff where the divers jump from ...

First stop on the cruise is beautiful sunny Acapulco Mexico.
Due to some wind and rain last night the ship is about 2 hours behind schedule.
We will be docking in Acapulco around 2pm or 12 noon Pacific time.
We are only here about 5 hours and have booked a tour of the Cliff Divers and Acapulco City ...

... and into the warm embrace of the sea once more. And so time passed until it was three o'clock: time to settle my bill; and time to leave the 'hidden beach'. I retraced my route along the bumpy lane, through the sleepy village, up the steep incline above the port and down the parched slopes on the other side of the hill until I arrived at the checkpoint and the junction with Highway 200. By the entrance to an adjacent school a line of students neatly dressed in blue and ...
Acapulco, Mexico fintan... seats and good music all the way. The road to Acapulco costs 50 American bucks between numerous tolls, but it was full of road works. The traffic was bad because Friday was Mexico's Independence day, and every tom, dick y harry was going. We arrived at our resort at 1, it had all drinks y food included. It was situated between a lake and the ocean, a fair way out of the city. It had a couple of tennis courts, three pools each with their own bar, our favourite was the ...

Finally after 6 hours we made it to shalom hostel in Puerto Escondido, a big tourist destination due to its reputation as having the third best surfing beaches in the world next to Australia and Hawaii. For the next three days we settled into a routine of drinking at night with all the other people in ...
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico jay.leasa... You what?´, which has at least cut down the need for smalltalk. French-Canadians, similarly, do not appear to speak, or understand, French. Anyway, I´ve been mooching around this town for week or so now and have a pretty good feel for it. The old (west) part, where the zocalo/cathedral is, is really nice, traditional, full of Mexicans, and cheap. There are plenty of clean, sandy beaches here, too, each accompanied by the usual array of restaurants ...
